The Following boards show the progresssion and execusion of my concept. I have started with the idea of "Zones" to differentiate between the program being wet vs dry allowing passive systems to be used. The meeting and combination of these two zones then slowly are formed together through the use of ramps and general circulation.
concept diagram of slab positioning and louvers was excellent. part of the question now is how can this further push the design of the facade and make it read as one building whose diagram contains three parts.
ReplyDeleteWell, professor in Design - Not just this one but EVERY, I have this issue of what is expressed vs non expressive. To show and represent three zones on a building is to be true to the building and its characteristics. However, to disregard a buildings own characteristics and express the building as a whole is to bring the building as one. So I fight multiple times with myself on whether each section should be expressed vs it visually look like 1 building.
