Elevation Study

1st attempt was trying to take lines from the plans like what Prof. Cody had explained.

2nd attempt was using the window punchouts to create a grid

3rd attempt takes the line from the hidden structure behind the wall. This one helped form the next two

4th attempt is an addition to the 3rd adding more grid lines vertically and having those grid line try to complement the window punchouts

5th attempt doubles the grid lines and then started to break apart throughout the rest of the facade

Overall the I liked the 4th and 5th one but I plan on continuing with the 4th attempt. I think the continuous grid works well with the rest of the project and almost serves and as a "marco" grid to the wet space's "micro" grid

the right side of the image is the closest part (the brick) should i have the brick just thicker lines or leave it? dont know how to make the brick read as the closest thing...

not sure if its too bright or if the water should be a bit different (if it reads more like glass?)

Unfolded Elevation with Roof

I think this looks really weird. Is is okay if I show the unfolded elevation without the roof?

Re: Giuseppe: space in details

Do these components serve as a fin and mullion as described in the previous post. The fin (11) spanning across all the columns, hold the clip (mullion, 10) holding the glass in place.

josh: reminds me of your upper facade in concept

exploded, verse bottom imploded

layer of material- melissa

number 20 should be edge of spa floor- guiseppe

Giuseppe: space in details

Spas?

Does anyone have a website that has good examples of spa layouts? Something that may illustrate what these specific spa rooms should look like. Thank you.

tomorrow

Thesis meeting will end at 3:00. I will see you after this, next class will be the last official class before the final.
I have lined up two interested architects for the final in addition to Professor Cody. The final will be very informative because these critics are not only Architects but understand the role of educators so I am looking forward to the final being very constructive.

I chose a blue brick base and red framing around the windows and concrete panels as a color scheme to follow similar characteristics that exist on Spring St.
